DESCRIPTION:
The Great Mother is the personification of the Archtyptical Feminine in mythology, religion, rituals, pop culture, and dreams. To some degree, it does encompass the whole of human consciousness in explaining its development in the form of mythical stories. In the myths about the Great Mother, the goddesses which represent the good and bad side of the Archetypical Feminine in turn, represent the good and bad side of female nature. The Good Mother goddesses symbolise the fertility of the earth — as in “Mother Earth” — and the creatures that live on earth, including humans.
